Resolution to Support Application for a Local Growth and Sustainability Grant (Mike Korman, Manager of Advocacy and Investment)

Council is being asked to provide a resolution of support for the City of Airdrie to apply for the Local Growth and Sustainability Grant offered by the Government of Alberta.

7.2

Alberta Community Partnership-Intermunicipal Collaboration Endorsement (Mike Korman, Manager of Advocacy and Investment)

Council is being asked to endorse the application by the Town of Cochrane for the Alberta Community Partnership-Intermunicipal Collaboration grant to fund a feasibility study for the development of a Waste to Energy Facility.

BYLAWS (not requiring public hearing)

8.1

Bylaws No. B-01/2025, B-02/2025 and B-03/2025 - Borrowing Bylaws for SW Recreation Centre Phase 1, 2025 Sanitary Projects and Fire Vehicle and Equipment Projects (Stephanie Mitchell, Team Leader Budget and Financial Planning)

Council is being asked to give First Reading to Borrowing Bylaw No. B-01/2025, a bylaw to fund $89,990,011 of the Southwest Recreation Centre – Phase 1 Construction; Borrowing Bylaw No. B-02/2025, a bylaw to fund $6,847,700 of 2025 Sanitary projects; and Borrowing Bylaw No. B-03/2025, a bylaw to fund $548,648 of 2025 Fire Vehicle and Equipment projects.

Bylaw No. B-39/2024 - 2025 Utility Rate Bylaw Amendments (Monica Labait, Manager of Treasury)

Council is being asked to give three readings to Bylaw No. B-39/2024, being a bylaw to amend the rates in the Water, Sewer and Waste Management Utilities, effective January 1, 2025.

Bylaw No. B-38/2024 - New Elections Bylaw (Charlotte Satink, Manager of Legislative Services and IGM/City Clerk)

Council is being provided with a new Elections Bylaw to establish elections procedures in accordance with the Local Authorities Election Act.
