Council is being asked to review and provide recommendations on eighteen resolutions that will debated and voted on at the 2022 Alberta Municipalities Annual Convention.

Council is being asked to proclaim the month of October 2022 as Circular Economy Month in Airdrie and the week of October 17 to 23 as Waste Reduction week in Airdrie and illuminate City Hall in blue and green on October 18 to encourage Airdrie citizens to re-think their waste habits and focus on taking, making, reusing, repairing, recycling an item so it can re-enter the economy instead of being thrown out.

Council is being asked to proclaim September 30 as National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Airdrie and illuminate City Hall in orange lights in honour of the survivors, their families and communities of residential schools and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process. (TRC Call to Action #80).

Council is being asked to proclaim October 6, 2022 as World Cerebral Palsy Day in Airdrie and illuminate City Hall in green lights in support of people and their families who are living with cerebral palsy.

A Public Hearing is being held on Bylaw No. B-27/2022, being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw No. B-01/2016 by adding regulations to Section 8.5.6 to allow Dwelling, Garage Suite as a Permitted Use in the R1-L, Narrow Lot Laned Residential District on specific lots within lands legally described as a portion of NE 1/4 Section 2, TWP 27, R1, W5M and a portion of NW 1/4 Section 2, TWP 27, R1, W5M with in the Bayview/Bayside neighbourhood.  Immediately following the public hearing, Council will be asked to give three readings to the bylaw.

Council is being asked to give three readings to Bylaw No. B-27/2022, being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw No. B-01/2016 by adding regulations to Section 8.5.6 to allow Dwelling, Garage Suite as a Permitted Use in the R1-L, Narrow Lot Laned Residential District on specific lots within lands legally described as a portion of NE 1/4 Section 2, TWP 27, R1, W5M and a portion of NW 1/4 Section 2, TWP 27, R1, W5M and then renumbering all other diagrams in Land Use Bylaw B-01/2016.

Council is being provided with correspondence against Bylaw No. B-27/2022.

A Public Hearing is being held on Bylaw No. B-32/2022, being a bylaw to amend Section 8.1 (3) (Land Use Map) of Land Use Bylaw No. B-01/2016, by redistricting lands legally described as portions of Section 10, Township 27, Range 1 West of the 5th Meridian to reflect Stage 2 of the land uses in keeping with the Wildflower Neighbourhood Structure Plan.  Immediately following the public hearing, Council will be asked to give three readings to the bylaw.

Council is being asked to give three readings to Bylaw No. B-32/2022, being a bylaw to amend Section 8.1 (3) (Land Use Map) of Land Use Bylaw No. B-01/2016, by redistricting lands legally described as portions of Section 10, Township 27, Range 1 West of the 5th Meridian to reflect Stage 2 of the land uses in keeping with the Wildflower Neighbourhood Structure Plan.
