Public Hearing Bylaw B-30/2024 – Land Use Bylaw Amendment Secondary Suites (Jeff Brunen, Senior Planner and Tega Odogu, Planner II)

A Public Hearing is being held on Bylaw No. B-30/2024, being a bylaw to amend the Accessory Suite regulations of Land Use Bylaw No. B-01/2016 and other associated regulations, as deemed necessary by Council.

Immediately following the public hearing, Council will be asked to give three readings to the Bylaw.

Mayor Brown has proclaimed November 8, 2024 as World Town Planning Day in Airdrie and will light up City Hall in green lights to acknowledge the accomplishments of professional planners and the critical role of planning in creating healthy, livable and sustainable communities.

Council is being provided with new research on Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing in the Airdrie context for information.

2024 Downtown Incentives Program Update (Adena Malyk, Downtown Revitalization Coordinator)

Council is being provided an update on the execution of the City’s Downtown Incentives Program.

Automated Garbage Collection Program Report (Leanne Moreira, Program Coordinator Waste and Recycling)

Council is being presented with an updated automated garbage collection program, which includes current program cost estimates, results of the most recent resident engagement on the automated garbage program and a service level recommendation and is being asked to endorse the revised garbage collection program as presented.
