Please note:  Due to the very heavy meeting agenda, the Public Agenda will begin at 10:00 am and continue until noon.  Council will get through as many items as they can before they break for lunch at 12:00 p.m. The Public Hearing will start at 1:00 pm with the Public Input Session immediately following the PH.  


The rest of the public agenda will continue after the Public Hearing and Public Input Session have concluded.

A Public Hearing is being held on Bylaw B-16/2025, being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw B-01/2016 to make a number of administrative amendments and corrections.


Immediately following the public hearing, Council will be asked to give three readings to the bylaw.

A public Input session is being held on Bylaw B-20/2025, being a bylaw to amend the Overstrength Sewer Effluent limits and rates in Schedules "D" and "E" of Sewer Bylaw B-11/2015 as requested by Council at the February 18, 2025 Council meeting.

Immediately following the Public Input Session, Council will be asked to give three readings to the bylaw.

Council is being provided with requested information regarding a pilot study on transit routes to post-secondary campuses in Calgary.

Council is being provided with updated information regarding Habitat for Humanity's request for $275,000 in support of their Bayview project in Airdrie.

Council is being presented with an update on the Bayview development construction, family selection and funding, as well as a renewed request for a $275,000 one-time final contribution toward the project.

Council is being presented with the official results of the 2025 Municipal census.

Council is being asked to ratify a letter in support of Healthier Together Airdrie’s application to the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program (Events component) for funding of two key community initiatives: Taste of Nations and Cultural Cooking Classes.

Council is being asked to proclaim September 2025 as Resiliency Awareness month in Airdrie to raise awareness of the importance of good brain health and how it pertains to personal resiliency and well-being.

Council is being asked to ratify a letter in support of Big Hill Haven - Airdrie’s application to the Service Delivery and Crisis Interventions and Rebuilding Lives - “Taking Action on Family Violence” grant stream for $275,000 in funding for their “Shelter Without a Shelter” pilot project.

Council Spearman and Councillor Petrow will be bringing forward a motion to direct Administration to develop a formal policy outlining minimum standards for inclusive and accessible design in all newly constructed and redeveloped playgrounds, as outlined in the attached Notice of Motion.
